Scope of Practice

Massage therapy is a therapeutic profession designed to promote the health and well-being of the client. It is not intended as a substitute for medical examination, diagnosis or treatment. Any advice given during the massage should not be construed as diagnosis or treatment. Please see a medical doctor for any specific medical conditions.

It is the responsibility of the client to provide any existing or changes in their medical conditions on their intake form. There may be medical conditions that are contraindicated for massage therapy.

Sexual Harassment

I am committed to providing a safe, welcoming space for my clients.  The services I provide are not sexual in nature. Clients understand that ANY misconduct, including but not limited to any illicit or sexually suggestive remarks, comments, advances or gestures, will result in immediate termination and full payment of the session as well as refusal of future services.

Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to keep your appointment, please call, text or email. 48-hour advance notice is required when cancelling an appointment. If you are unable to give 48 hours advance notice, you will be charged the full amount of your appointment. This amount must be paid prior to your next scheduled appointment.  No-call or no-shows will be charged the full treatment fee. Continuous rescheduling or missing appointments will result in no future services.

Please be aware that your scheduled time is specifically blocked to accommodate you.  I ask that the same courtesy be extended.  If you send another guest in your place, you will not be charged a cancellation fee.  They will need to complete their own client intake form prior to arrival.

Late Arrivals

If you arrive late, your session may be shortened to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, it will be determined if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for full payment of the session.

Illness

Massage is always contraindicated for anyone who is ill. If you do not feel well and/or have a fever, please reschedule your appointment.

  • "As someone who tends to enjoy lighter bodywork, Kate was able to engage problem areas in my back with efficient tact and deep pressure! Her approach is thorough and clinical. "

  • "You can tell her understanding of anatomy allows for her to navigate an already painful area with understanding. She warmed up my muscles and allowed me to relax into the massage completely before diving into the deeper work."

  • "I left her table feeling so much relief and hope after discovering that more techniques can aid me in the future! I will be rebooking with her again."
